Sage leaves have a disinfectant, anti-inflammatory, astringent, styptic, demulcent and limiting the action of perspiration.



 

Pharmacological action

Sage leaves have a disinfectant, anti-inflammatory, astringent, styptic, demulcent and limiting the action of perspiration.

Indications: Infusion is used for rinsing in case of acute tonsillitis and chronic tonsillitis, acute respiratory diseases, stomatitis, gingivitis, aphthous lesions of the oral cavity, as well as for the treatment of pulpitis. External (general and local baths) - eczema, psoriasis, neurodermatitis, intertriginoznoy athlete, wounds, burns, frostbite.

Method of preparation: 10 g of raw material is placed in an enamel bowl, pour in 200 ml of hot boiled water, close lid and heated in boiling water (water bath) with frequent agitation for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw materials squeeze. The volume of the resulting infusion was adjusted with boiled water to 200 ml. The prepared infusion is stored in a cool place no more than 2 days.

Method of application: To rinse the mouth and throat to 1/3-1/2 cup of warm infusion 2-3 times a day. In inflammatory diseases of the skin to treat ulcers and suppurating wounds, with minor burns and frostbite using infusion of sage soaked gauze.

Side effect: In rare cases, possible allergic reactions

Contraindications: Not recommended for inflammation of the kidneys and a strong cough

Sage leaf is packed in paper bags of 30 or 50 grams, placed together with instructions in a cardboard box.

Storage conditions: In a cool, dry place.

Shelf life 1.5 years.
